I really hope the Avatar's class remains the same before ascending so to speak.

So many monster type restricted traits out there, from imlers to hounds, that suddenly making them undefined would hurt anyone using said traits.

I assume each avatar has the same class as the gems and runes its god sells, right?

Haven't found any of these super builds myself. Then again I only play when the mood for some monster catching/training hits me. :)

60 new traits are coming. There will likely be something that new enemies may have that will counter the current super builds.

It's also fun to just try other things. I recently made an all Amaranth team. It's still in progress and it doesn't use any instant win builds. They rely on their incredibly high defense to stay alive but I like them because the more defense they have, the more damage they do with spells.

I'm a beginner (still working on unlocking nether creatures), what are these super builds?

I think the best part of the game is discovering awesome trait combos so you shouldn't spoil the fun for yourself

There are 'press button to win/S1 calamity style' team builds for which nothing in the game poses a challenge anymore already, what's the point of becoming a god if there are no further challenges to face you need to be more powerful for? In theory something like a third type of realm, sigil realm, where every fight would have randomized restrictions, would be very challenging, but implementing that doesn't seem practical. Basically an endless game is only fun as long as there are challenges to be found in its endlessness I think.

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that there aren't all that many "press button to win" builds in the current version of Siralim 2.

My hope is that a small number of traits can be changed in the expansion to eliminate these "press button to win" builds that can take on any challenge.

(Alternatively, as someone else mentioned, Zack could also make a change to the Nether Realms -- or perhaps a third type of realm? -- that adds additional challenge to make the strongest builds no longer unbeatable)

Maybe the Mana bonus granted by Arcane Keys could turn into some other bonus as an Avatar?

What about arcane keys? I fed it 10 already, as I'm sure plenty of others have as well.

Yes, they'll retain everything from when they were a Nether Creature. You won't lose anything during the process.

When nether creatures are transformed into Avatars will they retain the 3 additional traits that were added with Catalysts?

@Tchey: Thank you!

@Umaro: They'll have unique overworld sprites too.

As of right now, their race will become "Avatar". That could change later in development, though.

Yes, forgot to mention that! They'll look exactly like their respective god.

Will they also lose their race, or is it just a cosmetic change? Also, will their overworld sprites look like miniature versions of the gods too, or that just for the main sprite?
