crafting with random traits is a bit too expensive for most of the game, and when you can actually afford it you're far past the point of needing it, haha

Tbh i had a thought that after acquiring 2 specific talismans and levelling both to 100 and after powers are implemented you could do it (reforge wild arts), well that was my guess, seemed though like a huge gap between beginning of the game and actually being able to mod arts. Otherwise whole reforging stuff seem pointless. You still can take forging as a new player option and crafting as a gamble on getting nice trait. But not reforging. yep, now you have piles of mats you have no use for. And reforging is well, craft artifact, save some 1mil granite and go for 2500 reforge. and never do again :P pretty much the plan, no granite yet though. pretty sure there ll be nuff mats in my stash for that.

As of current, say you need a ring, right. you go on adventures, time to time you watch your rings, and lock ones with 1-2 decent rolls (3 spell slots, 25 power for example or whatever you want, mana maybe, speed anything, maybe its not even a ring :P)
After you ve got like 50 decent rings.... yep thats right enchant each one once. that leaves you usually with around 10-20 decent rings, rinse and repeat.
But i figured to hell the arts. Just get 1 decent stat from wild, and enchant em with resouce gain, whatever rolls it will be. and forget about em forever :P OR till something cool will be in. Save all itherian arts, salvage all rest. Pretty much.

I agree, crafting artifacts isn't satisfying anymore with wild ones potentially higher stats, and 1-2 bad rolls can make them trash, especially if you're rolling for spell slots. good luck finding a pair of boots without (bad) enhancements and then getting all good rolls - artifacts in S3 are definitely the most frustrating & unfun so far in the Siralim series.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm not happy with how artifacts are shaping up so far. I have a pretty decent plan for how I want to overhaul them, but it's something I still need to look at and make sure it's all for the best. Either way, the current system doesn't feel quite right for me yet, so rest assured that changes are coming.

did not find this elsewhere, or i missed it, so i'll post it here...

will there be a way to min-max or otherwise manipulate the numbers on the "wild" artifacts ? Just to set an example, i am really uncomfortable with my 103% speed cloak, that took me a while to craft and i much rather it were a 100%.

One of the best aspects in s2 for me was that i was able to craft a lot of equipment and it was already one of the things that consumed a lot of my time.
The way things are now in s3 made crafting, imho, way too prohibitive.
The fact that you now have to consume enchanting materials to min max is already a way to limit the process, and i think it is a good thing (i do not recall if in s2 u also had to consume such materials, but i dont think so, maybe), but locking the stats on the "wild" artifacts is too much, one bad roll and its thrash now, better luck next time, i mean, really ? yeah sure it adds to the grind, but i think its too much, its not a fun grind just a ridiculous one. And if its not fun its a failure in the long run. and lets not talk about soft resets, just the fact that you consider a soft reset means there is something wrong.

I think it would be more reasonable for it to be, for example, a late game quest to unlock min max "wild" artifacts at a greater cost. Just locking the traits (or legendary) would be enough to justify the grind for multiple "perfect" artifacts.

as of now, getting a "perfect" artifact, as in all max numbers, is not really a reasonable objective without bs luck, unreasonable grinding or soft resets, witch for me it's a shame.

i also understand that there are maybe people with more "perfect" artifacts than they can hold but im talking about the average player here, wanting to play a game having a fun time, not being a chore to the point that of thinking "nah i got better things to do". of course it is all my opinion.
