The exponential growth of +%(stat) per gem traits can be used to outright smash game balance when stacked high enough.

Sadism + Anomaly should only really proc once.

This applies to Final Act of Judgement, as well.

Maybe it would be a good thing to make Invisible and Shell either/or, like Silence and Scorn. That way Pariah isn't the new War Forged. Shadow Aegis is fine, imo.

Will offensive teams even be viable anymore? I run a speed based team with Pariah, Shadow Aegis and Endurance Aura and they're still TKOd before their turns every 2-3 realms or so (if I'm clearing everything). This is what happens to a team without Shell.

Get some more Gene Strength then. I also think Speed granted by traits, perks, etc. should affect the first turn's order.

To be honest, if ignoring stats is a problem, traits like Barrage, Mana Bomb, etc are guilty (though they are only really good in the enemies' hands) and they force you to use Endurance Aura eventually, because Health just can't keep up at high levels.

The problem seems to be your expectations not the ability. If Endurance Aura does not save you from an ability that has one of the lowest damage multiplier then you are clearly way to deep for what your party is *supposed* to be able to handle.

Just breed and level your creatures, return to a reasonable depth and something like Screeching Barrage becomes a minor nuisance. Asking for changes to an ability for the sake of allowing infinite depth is the opposite of balancing.

If u read my post, im just complain, how OP barrage is. Im really don't mind, change Zack it or not. I have no idea, how change it and i just wanna leave my feedback, coz when im just compare it with other similar traits, like mana bomb.. i can't believe, how OP barrage is. For sure, it's only about situations, when any damage is oneshot to ur creatures.

2. AOE;
3. Pure damage (can be prevented only by chaos shield with unbreakable).

Every time, when i meet this bat, after ANY enemy attack all my creatures got a millions of damage from this trait, this makes me sad. Im just giving up, coz just can't do nothing. I wish u all meet this bats at high lvl realms and got fun from fight with it!
Phase Knights can prevent 95% of this damage. Chaos Shield isn't the only answer...

lol, 5% also killing me. I think u offer me scorn or smth else, maybe im really miss smth special, but any reducing damage perks just doesnt work.

Yeah, fighting level 30000 enemies with 30000 gene strength with a level 500 team should be an exception, not the norm that the game is balanced around.

5% of the bat's speed is not threatening in any way even as an AoE if the level difference between your team and the enemy team is not completely out of wack. The power of abilities are balanced under the assumption that your creatures have similar stats. Good builds/perks/breeding can tilt this balance strongly in the players favor, but not infinitely so.

That's exactly what the Rage punishment does and I always keep it active for the very reason that I want creatures to be able to activate their attack abilities.

Sorry, I should've been more specific. I meant making 1 the default minimum amount of damage.

I tend to use it all the time too myself, despite never playing teams that actually draw benefit from it. Exception being my current Leper/Masochist shenanigans (they seemed like they needed bugtesting - which turned out to be true). The game just feels a lot more fair that way.
