agreed that nether creature level should be an average of team level like nether gene strength

To answer your second question about gene strength: Nethers do not get gene strength from breeding but from the gene strength of your other creatures. So if you put your nether in a group with high gene strength creatures it will have high gene strength too. Put it in a group with newly summoned creatures and it will have zero gene strength.

the amount of resources you gain in a realm is based on the realm but also the difference between your level and the realms creature level. I had a terrible team when playing the first week and was getting 50 resources per battle and complained about it in the shoutbox and Zack said that my creatures were probably too high of a level and I was getting a penalty. That penalty gets worse the higher your creatures are and it's not based on a team average but the highest level monster in the party. I bred my team for the first time then and went from 40-50 resource gain to 250-300 just by getting lower creature levels fighting in the exact same realm.

Let's take my current party, most of my creatures are level 200-300, while my nether is over 500. This creates a big gap because all rewards are going to be based on that level 500 nether in relation to the opposing team's party but my actual team's level is half that. So I am heavily punished on battle rewards for using my nether becuase he is so much higher level and I can't do anything about it but make a new nether at level 1.

To test this out go to realm level 10 and do a fight, then go to a realm close to your creatures levels and do a fight and to a realm that is vastly higher level than your creatures and you will notice big difference in resource gain.

(and also reduce resource income for the group). It also makes using existing nethers for new groups undesirable.

Gene strength is already treated that way and it is not that far-fetched to apply the same to the nether's "experience".

What do you mean it reduces resource income?  How is resource income determined?

What do you mean gene strength is already treated that way?

Sorry to high jack the thread with these questions, but it made me curious (free bump too =-))

This is an excellent idea. I don't see why this couldn't be the default behavior for Nether Creatures.

Currently since nether creatures are unable to breed they will continue leveling while other creatures "loose" levels each time you breed them.  This creates a lopsided party and makes it hard to determine a good realm level (and also reduce resource income for the group). It also makes using existing nethers for new groups undesirable.

Could we get a punishment (or even as default) where the nether's level is based on the average of the party's level? Gene strength is already treated that way and it is not that far-fetched to apply the same to the nether's "experience".
