Nope, the debuffs are meant to be permanent in those cases.

It also is removed immediately from an enemy on its turn if you transfer it over from the effect of a pulse bat and your pulse bat gains the debuff again before it's own turn ends. (Side question: is that a bug, Zack? The enemy loading the debuff immediately, I mean.)
It's not the name of the bread, but the skill in its making, that determines its quality.

Can you spam the field with Mass Dispel every turn?  Or will the debuff just come right back?

The debuff will keep coming back.

Obviously I should probably know this already, but what counters Blight?

Nothing that doesn't circumvent all status effects, such as rez effects. Blight is a hoser ability - it hard counters one particular strategy and only that one strategy, much like if you use a Mercurial Slime for the Poison Healing ability and your opponents never use poison. It's there to prevent all-in teams like the one above from running right over anything else.

It's a balanced effect, in that it's very specific, and very effective in that specific circumstance.

If I had to guess though, a counter would be Ruby Paragon's provoke ability, which increases Current/Max HP by 10%, but was not triggering Blight as of 2.0.7. I don't know about the current version - I'll check.

Frog, there are lots of ways to beat any given strategy, but when I can poke a hole with one word, I'll always use the one word. Laconic arguments are teh bestest. All that said, Raven Defiler and Scourge Mummy both wreck this team.

Interestingly, having your own mutant swampdweller causes blight to not damage your creatures despite the effect, this happened when I last played before version 2 was out, so it may have been fixed. Applying scorn onto the enemy swampdweller also counters it. A life mage's perk gets a barrier on heal, it negates some of the blight damage for some reason. Then there is the one creature that is immune to status effects, but you cant exactly protect the priests with that...or maybe you could with taunt effect, hm...

On the flip side, I'm suprised no one mentioned general hp removal, poison, burn and multi-hit does a large amount of problems to said party as well.

Blight.
There is a creature that counters this and I had only listed 5 for the party.

Killing the enemy and not dying are different concepts.
Priests have a decent amount of attack ontop of getting a +50% bonus damage.

There is also the really easy group of horde critters that tends to throw level scaling out the window by essentially stat crushing the enemy. Life mage also has the ridiculous perk of your critters cannot have more then 50-25% of their max health removed by a single attack. If you get it to the 25%, you could make a party of priests of each element where they are healed for 20% of their health anytime they are attacked. Throw on mend and your almost unkillable, you just need to worry about status effects.

I'd see 400+ ability names like a million references begging to find a spot in my game. Lol

Well at least you have good taste in your references.

Also, I take that as a challenge.

Randomly, I just fought the Unchained Djinn sigil.  It is called Ghattas, and drops a Fiery Bottle with the 'Flame that Changed the World' ability.

Sonic Syndicate, Zack, really?
