Suggestions / stat gains displayed on level up
« on: September 23, 2016, 05:08:06 PM »
As usual Zack continue with the masterful work.
In an appstore of shoddy clones and privacy concerns, this wonderful little gem has truly been a must own game.
Now all the fawning out of the way,
It would be wonderful to add information about the stat games on a monster on level up! It would be a lot more convenient in determining a creatures viability in real time.  Kind of like the old DQM games.
Its mainly for convenience but I think it would be a very appreciated improvement.
Thanks bud and keep up the good work.

Same here! Its been a while since I frequented these forums.  Its nice to see how great this game turned out!

HYPE!
The only thing that seemed missing in the first Siralim!
Please include a little bit of randomness of breeding as well. That was one of my favorite things about the DQM series and what keeps me coming back it.  Seeing those ???????? and the excitement of what overpowered monster I was going to get is my video game crack.

if you need a beta tester for android, I'd be willing to help.  I'm waiting on some rebates to buy Siralim for PC so I can't beta test that.

Yea I've made the switch over to the unicorn. I had the vampire bat which heals 20% of attack damage, but a unicorn should be better for survivability.

my vote is sigil of fluffhead.
Its a reference to the band phish, which is one of my favorites.  Fluffhead references are everywhere on tv, I thought it would be cool to see one in a video game.

Hello,

I'm currently level 161 and I've had a lot of team builds. My current one is as follow :
Unicorn Vivifier (lvl 180) : for the resurrect ability and decent overall stats
Nether Pegasus (lvl 80) : for its ability that saves a friendly creature from a killing blow and I've added a legendary Afterlife ability
Unicorn Consecrator (lvl 160) : for the healing ability and decent overall stats
Nether Skeleton Gunslinger (lvl 72) : though it has been nerfed a lot, I find its damage output still appreciable and the stun is a great control tool
Nether Demon Fallen Carnage (lvl 82) : great finisher thanks to its ability and I've added a constant Berserker buff that let him finish almost anything until level 400 or so
Nether Skeleton Mortarman (lvl 81) : nice damage output to all enemy creatures
Nice team! How does it fair against creatures that cast blight immediately? I'm wondering this because I'm thinking of adding a unicorn consecrator on my team as well.

Berserker fiends seem fine because at higher levels, one attack reduces their HP quite tremendously.  I equipped mine with a level 8 artifact with all attack and it would to so much damage to itself it was a one hit wonder.  I still enjoy using mine, but without proper support monsters, hes very squishy.  BTW I don't do well against teams of pulse bats either.

Support / Re: Dead creature acting in loop

No, but it was stuck on the dead skeleton snipers turn.  He just kept going and took an unlimited amount of turns, would have wiped my team if it wasn't for invisible being proc'ed.

I actually ran into this problem too, I was stuck in an eternal loop because my unicorn vivifer had invisible proc'ed from an artifact.  I attached a screenshot hopefully it helps.
I was also in a daily realm, the one where the dead are revived sometimes, maybe that could have something to do with it?

General Discussion / What does your creature team consist of?

Theres plenty of creatures in siralim with alot of great abilities. I'm curious, what teams do you find are the most effective?
Keep in mind I'm only level 65
I'm currently using
Servant Hunter- I really like his razor sharp ability which deals 35% damage to 2 other enemies with an instant bleed proc. I;ve had him since the beginning and I don't see Servant hunter getting swapped out any time soon.
Unicorn Vivifier- My next nether creature, that ability is really good ( 50 percent chance to resurrect an ally after an attack) Definatly going to be a staple in my party for a long time to come.
Berserker Fiend- a newer addition to the team, It is always berserk.  I like the damage output, but you need to watch out before overloading on attack because it could kill itself with berserk.   Great for starting out, but as artifacts become more crucial, it will be replaced soon.
Nether Twisted Devil-  I really messed this build up.  Serves as a lesson to take your time with a nether creature.  I thought that gaining 50% of your luck in attack would make it OP, but I was definatly wrong.  Doesn't help that I rushed building it.
Wyvern Sonicscreecher-  Its ability silences enemies after they cast a spell, super useful in higher level realms.  It is one of my main chaos attackers thanks to the next monster I have.
Dark Brim smith- One of my favorite synergy monsters,  its ability grants the attack and luck to all my creatures in the bottom row (wyvern, and twisted devil) I gave it a sword with all attack substats, its usefulness makes up for its subpar stats.

I'd love to see some lineups of your teams.

The balancing act here is different because when you balance the game you are altering a dynamic system, obviously Zack is aware of static difficulty in games like DQM etc... But my impression is that he wants to do things in a different way.

It's not that difficulty can't be adjusted in a similar way but when accounting for variables it's like the difference between a straight track and a track that is a snake trail, if you take the wrong turn your just as likely to derail everything.
Why not have both? Perhaps a bunch of static levels leading up to level one hundred, and then have dynamic levels after that.
Scatter 30% of the monsters in these static levels, the rest in these dynamic levels.  (of course throw some dynamic levels as you climb to 100)
I understand this is a massive undertaking, but it might be a nice changeup.

Introduce Yourself / Hows it going everyone?
« on: January 28, 2015, 12:47:27 AM »
Well, after years of drudging through the abomination they call the mobile gaming market, I've all but given up hope of finding an addicting, deep, rpg.  ( Only other game that was worth my money was KOTOR)  Until an innocuous reddit post, I stumbled upon this game.
To the players:  Hows it going I'm storyoftheworld and I'm looking forward to meeting yall.
To the devs
As a big fan of dragon quest monsters when I was younger, ( I may have dumped 1,000's of hours into 1&2) I was instantly hooked. In summary thanks for making this game, its a genre that really needs to be explored.  Thanks for no microtransaction and waiting time nonsense. Keep working at it, you've made a game to be proud of.
