Check, seems Master Shapeshifter miss his shapeshift ability in the battle menu. There only "Defend" option.

If im wrong, tell me what i must do to use it (to be clear im playing on currently stable version 0.9.X branch, not 0.9.3)

The problem seems to be your expectations not the ability. If Endurance Aura does not save you from an ability that has one of the lowest damage multiplier then you are clearly way to deep for what your party is *supposed* to be able to handle.

Just breed and level your creatures, return to a reasonable depth and something like Screeching Barrage becomes a minor nuisance. Asking for changes to an ability for the sake of allowing infinite depth is the opposite of balancing.

If u read my post, im just complain, how OP barrage is. Im really don't mind, change Zack it or not. I have no idea, how change it and i just wanna leave my feedback, coz when im just compare it with other similar traits, like mana bomb.. i can't believe, how OP barrage is. For sure, it's only about situations, when any damage is oneshot to ur creatures.

Okay, i don't like how Screeching barrage works:

1. Activate on EACH ally attack;
2. AOE;
3. Pure damage (can be prevented only by chaos shield with unbreakable).

Every time, when i meet this bat, after ANY enemy attack all my creatures got a millions of damage from this trait, this makes me sad. Im just giving up, coz just can't do nothing. I wish u all meet this bats at high lvl realms and got fun from fight with it!
Phase Knights can prevent 95% of this damage. Chaos Shield isn't the only answer...

lol, 5% also killing me. I think u offer me scorn or smth else, maybe im really miss smth special, but any reducing damage perks just doesnt work.

Arena is nice and really fun, dont change it back!

And reward is OK, but any mode in the game must have a unique reward, which hard to get. Arena doesnt have it after u buy all cores, so long or short, in a time it doesnt give any fun, coz u doesnt advance anywhere like levels in realm portal.

Whether it's overpowered or not, I just don't think it's that interesting. Get a monster with HUGE HP, kill it, nuke all monsters, rinse/repeat. Sure, it's not godlike infinite depth powerful, but mechanically, it's just sort of dull. It ignores defense, enemy type, and deals huge damage -- to everything. I just don't see any reason to try anything else. Why worry about anything else when you can just stack huge HP and blow everything up in one turn. Even if half my team is dead, it doesn't matter so long as I get my HP bomb dude dead first.

Character stats, class strengths/weaknesses, healing, defenses... I don't really think about any of this anymore. I just wait to hit my Nuke and collect loot. (Okay, I think about some defense.)

I don't feel like my team is working together as with other traits, they all just faff about while waiting for my HP nuke to go off. Yes, they do contribute to boosting the HP nuke, but bleh, six monster party... only one of them seems to matter.

inb4: Just don't use it. LOL

If u test it under 100 lvl realm and it works, i have a bad news for u, my friend.

Be capped only by mage lvl just fast fix - for sure Zack change it later.

Im still sure breeding is a casual option, coz it give u power for non-brain spam "E" with almost any creature. Until u reach certain realm. And then.. u can have 1kkk gene creature, enemy overhelm u and u lose, coz "E" didnt work anymore. So as for me, i dont care about any changes with this system, im just give up on it, delete all gene creatures and now will try build +0 gene team, which maybe abuse some traits, but atleast based on synergy and research, its much more fun and competitive.

Yeah, but I don't get how you can do that.  Breeding is limited by power balance.  You can buy fairies, but that's limited by resources, and buying fairies therefore limits your breeding (can't summon new cores).

Dont forget that under 100% u got 6% per battle, i win 1 sigil in a 10-15 sec. So i can earn 50% PB in a few minutes.

And with sigils u dont need waste time to search enemy in realms, and u got huge amount of resource after 2 (major) and 3 (prime) fight. Also, i fight with no-brain AOE one-shot trait that ignore class immunity, no need to attack or cast spells, so sigil weakness means nothing for me.

Yeah, the creatures gain exponentially rather than linearly.
The fact that the second creature doesn't add much is the disturbing part.

The other thing is the extreme stat values of ATK/DEF/SPD, but HP/INT have almost no gains.

For me it's always ATK INT SPD, i make thread about it when im start rush leveling gene on my creature 2 days ago

What was your strategy in making this creature?  Did you just breed it with itself a bunch?  Did your non-pedigree ever have gene strength?

It's isnt too hard, coz after 100k gene u got +15k, after 200k u got +40k, etc. I have one 1 500 000 (was 8 for mistake lol) just for fast farming sigils (he can start farm from 1 level any sigil in oneshot with pure damage trait)

It's easy to do in a half of a day:

1. Stay at stable with high lvl sigils and fast paced farming team
2. Do fast 5-6 sigils to make creature about 110-120 lvl (u can do it faster with perk, but im ok without it)
3. Make egg and go buy shards from merchant, remake game until u have shards for instant hatch
4. Do another 5-6 sigils, make egg, buy shards, instahatch egg, fight - egg - buy - hatch - fight (dont forget send team for Hunt Beast mission)
5. Use any leveled +0 gene creature in stable as mate, coz mate's stats and gene doesnt matter.

Enjoy ur 1kk creature after 5-6 hours and then forgot about team for farm anything and have fun from building interesting combo.

p.s. also dont take creature u leveling with u, he gain levels much faster in stable with 10% perk. Also, it's enough just farm 2500-3000 lvl sigils to gain around 10kk XP for all ur team to make him lvl 120 in a few fights. U can obtain lvl 2500 sigils just if u reach lvl 100 realm and use punishment where creatures become stronger, then use hunt beast missions and as reward u gain 2500 lvl sigil

Also, when u find EGG, it's scale right about ~20% of ur highest gene creature, so u start find +30 000 egss after u just level ur main creature to 150-200k gene.

I think after this thread something changes in breed system, but as for me, it's really booring part of the game, im use +0 gene team as my main one for gain fun from building combos.

Only issue i see is the abuse combined with on provoke stuff.

Like cerberus hellguard, add starts with taunt on his artifact and suddenly your creature is casting a spell when combat starts. There are other abilities that trigger on provoke as well that could be abused that way, including the fortress buffs etc.

Totally agree, very easy to abuse.
If u wanna real tank - use interceptors like cows, no matter how slow this cow is, it's intercept all attacks.

Idk about some situations like "when kill dont proc", it's exceptions for me.

But in common situation sometimes my creature just can't stop casting spells with "when hit" affixes, im really think all is ok with random generator in this game.

Another example, i make screenshot while see egg in chest coz i was sure it will be 500 ATK INT SPD and 30 DEF. And sure it is.
