  2. Email Confirmation: We’ll contact you at your PayPal email within 24 hours. Check your spam folder and contact us if you don’t receive it.
  3. Approval and Queue: Once your idea is approved, it enters our development queue. No revisions after this point, please – we move fast!
  4. Content Release: Your content will appear in an upcoming game patch. Check the status here.
  5. Credits: Opt to have your name in the Book of Credits, regardless of purchase.

Important Notes

  • If you’re reading this sentence, then yes, the backer shop is still open!
  • No copyrighted or immersion-breaking content
  • We reserve the right to balance and edit all backer content at any time (balance adjustments should be expected)
  • All purchases are final (no refunds)
  • Designing content doesn’t grant instant in-game access
  • Our artists will create the final game art
  • Content must adhere to existing game mechanics (no new mechanics including things like buffs and debuffs)
  • Avoid effects that simply delete mechanics from the game, like “Your creatures are immune to damage from spells.”
  • Most content should have only one central effect. Please don’t try to pack multiple different effects into one trait, perk, spell, etc.
  • Art is inherently subjective, so unless it’s clear that we misunderstood your original description, we will not make revisions.
  • For fairness and consistency for all players, submissions are final and cannot be revised.
  • Next backer content patch ETA: Q4 2025 or Q1 2026. Cutoff date for this patch is October 1, 2025. Please make your purchases and submit your content before this date to ensure your content is added to the next patch. Otherwise, it will be pushed to a patch after that.

By making a purchase, you agree to the terms above.

Questions? Contact us before purchasing.

Check your submission status on our public backer spreadsheet.

Stretch Goals and New Game Content

Current Stretch Goal: Ascended Gods and False Gods – insanely hard versions of god fights (and you can see what an evolved version of Torun looks like)

Progress: $57,135 / $60,000

Upcoming Stretch Goal Teasers:

  • Overhauled Goblet of Trials – difficulty modifiers and challenges for each specialization
  • Overhauled Realm Instability – completely revamped properties with more interesting benefits and no build-blocking effects
  • Glyphs and Heirlooms – on-demand battles with unique properties to earn powerful heirlooms that grant economic bonuses
  • Legacy Gauntlet – new arena mode that includes persistent progression and roguelite modifiers

Stretch Goals Already Unlocked:

  • Skip Story Mode: start a new save file with several features already unlocked and all story quests completed. Jump right into the end-game!
  • Enable All Specializations: this allows you to choose any of the specializations at the start of the game (with the exception of a few obvious ones that don’t make sense, like Fanatic and Royal)
  • Ruthless Mode: slower progression, more difficult, and rebalanced gameplay to create a hardcore yet satisfying experience.
  • Easy Mode: faster progression, slightly easier difficulty, and rebalanced gameplay to make the game more accessible to all players.
  • Sandbox Mode: start the game with everything unlocked for testing purposes.
  • Calm Mode: makes battles less hectic by reducing number of actions
  • Menagerie Duels: fight against your Menagerie Groups to test your party
  • Ironman Mode: permadeath mode, can only visit each realm depth once
  • False Godspawn (not in 2.0): new creatures with interesting traits based on the False Gods
  • Nether Stone Fusion (not in 2.0): combine two stones to create a new one with shared properties (can combine stones indefinitely!)
  • Corrupted Nether Stones (not in 2.0): massive bonuses, but also massive penalties (independent drop pool from normal Nether Stones)
  • Itherian Realms (not in 2.0): infinitely replayable roguelite mode (endgame content / creature crafting)
